The Republic of Ireland's gold saltire idea is clever, and I appreciate the thought behind it. The All Island flag's historical inspiration is intriguing, combining elements from both regions.

The Ulster-Scots flag is bold with its mix of symbols. Your suggestions for adjustment or simplification are valid. Exciting times for flag enthusiasts! It could be argued it is also an all Ireland flag as it is used by GAA on both sides of the boarder, however there is no official all island flag, although flags such as St Patrick's Saltire and four provinces flag are also used in sporting events like rugby when the whole island is represented. I like to keep politics out of my flags and these designs were a vexoligical exercise that I did on request rather than any expression of political viewpoint. But thank you again and I am glad you like it, if you are interested in more perhaps my Northern Ireland Flags guide post might interest you. On another point, it could be argued that northern Ireland (1922 political creation) is Irish and the national flag, the tri-colour is the flag of an unified or United Ireland. The Unionists are welcome to keep their UK and Ulster flags. For me, like re-unified Germany, northern Ireland is Ireland. How ever Leonardo is right, that is the nine county Ulster coat of arms I used.
